Overdue Update & Art show at The Gallery Espresso!
I know it has been forever since I have posted anything at all! I have to admit, I was going through a rough period in my life, but, thankfully, I am doing much better!
I have been keeping up with my artwork, and I was happy to have participate in Sulfur Studio’s “Tondo in Toto” Show in April of this year. So what have I been up to? Well, my family and I may be moving in the next few months. There are several places we are looking at, but my aim is to move overseas. I am excited for what is to come, and will update my blog once I know my destination!

I wanted to get some practice in with charcoal. I did this looking in the mirror. I will be challenging myself to do one every other day along with different parts of the body.

The clouds appear to float in the distance in the blue clear sky. The light breeze tickles your skin, and a subtle light appears in the distance and casts a beautiful light upon the leaves and warm grass.
I really wanted to keep my brushstrokes loose in this one. I also left visible texture, something I do in all of my paintings.

New Collaboration Project: Art and Poetry: The Bronx Project 84
The Bronx Project 84 is a collaboration project I am starting with childhood friend and writer Nakeeda Holmes. Please check out and like her page and subscribe to her Youtube channel. This girl is seriously inspiring and talented. We need honesty, authenticity, and truth! Art that is not afraid to reveal the truth of society and be political. Art is not always pretty, but beauty is found within the truths that we all share as humans. Being sensitive to the needs of others and understanding them is a part of understanding the universality of the human spirit! I am grateful to be working with her and hopefully some more artist in the future. The aim is to showcase and help support various diverse artforms representing the Bronx. My goal is to develop an art show featuring both visual artists and writers by 2019 in New York. So excited about this project and I am looking forward to seeing where this goes.
